To Climb a Gold Mountain won the prestigious LA Area Emmy Award for Independent Programming. The award ceremony took place on Awards held at the Television Academy’s Wolf Theatre at the Saban Media Center. Variety magazine has listed the 69th LA Area Emmy Award Winners here.

World Humanitarian Award

To Climb a Gold Mountain received the Platinum “World Humanitarian Award”. The World Humanitarian Awards was established to commemorate World Humanitarian Day initiated by the United Nations. The award was also given to film “An Open Door: Holocaust Haven in the Philippines” directed by Noel Izon. The award previous winners includes Nobel Peace Prize winner, Adolfo Pérez Esquive.
